AUDI Q5 2.0T B8 3" TEST PIPE

This B8 test pipe is a powerful, easy bolt-on alternative to a full downpipe upgrade for the 2.0T. It replaces the most restrictive section of the OEM exhaust — the cat-equipped piece bolted directly to the turbocharger housing. Swapping in this catless 3" section frees up airflow and cuts back-pressure, and on tuned cars it can produce up to +24whp and +30wtq.

The gains are most noticeable low in the rev range, where the stock system chokes flow the hardest. You'll also feel sharper throttle response and quicker turbo spool — faster-flowing exhaust spins the turbo sooner, so you hit target boost quicker for faster acceleration and improved 0-60 and quarter-mile times. Even with the rest of the system stock, the test pipe noticeably deepens and sharpens the exhaust note.

Construction

The test pipe is built from 3" stainless steel for high flow and long life. Two O2 bungs let you reinstall the factory O2 sensors or block them off with the two included bolts. Running this section opens the door to more advanced boost settings on a stock or Stage 1 tune, since the high-flowing 3" pipe lets the 2.0T handle the extra exhaust flow of higher boost targets. Two CNC-machined flanges bolt directly to the OEM exhaust and turbo, and an OEM-location mounting bracket holds it in place to reduce vibration. Without an ECU tune or O2 sensor fix, expect a check engine light — resolved with an upgraded ECU programmer or an O2 sensor fix adapter.
