F80 M3, F82 M4, F87 M2 Competition (S55) Parts Buying Guide
The S55 twin-turbo inline-six in the F80 M3, F82 M4, and F87 M2 Competition is the most affordable M-car platform on the used market right now. Forged rotating assembly, factory closed-deck block, and incredible aftermarket support mean stock S55s routinely hold 600+ whp. KORE SPEED stocks the full F8X S55 catalog in Vancouver - downpipes, charge pipes, intakes, BM3 tunes, and supporting hardware - and ships duty-free across Canada.
The S55 bolt-on package that hits 550+ whp
1. S55 downpipes (catted or fat boy)
The OEM S55 downpipes are huge but cat-restricted. We stock the MAD S55 catted downpipes with 200-cell high-flow cats and flex sections (CEL-free with most maps), the MAD S55 3.5 inch Fat Boy downpipes for max flow on race-tune builds, the MAD S55 standard downpipes, the ARM F80 M3 downpipes and ARM F82 M4 downpipes.
2. S55 charge pipes (eliminate the OEM failure point)
The OEM F8X charge pipes are plastic and crack under 22+ psi of boost - a documented failure point that strands cars. The ARM F8X M3 / M4 / M2C silicone charge pipes, ARM F80 M3 charge pipes, ARM F82 M4 charge pipes, and IRL F8X M3 / M4 charge pipes are CNC aluminum or reinforced silicone replacements rated well past 35 psi.
3. S55 intake
The ARM F80 S55 intake system is the proven F8X intake upgrade. The MAD F8X S55 inlets (intake pipe kit) is the matched-flow downstream pairing for the airbox.
4. S55 BM3 or MHD tune
Both Bootmod3 BM3 and MHD support the S55 fully. Bootmod3 (BM3) S55 license: Bootmod3 S55 license for F80 M3, F82 M4, F87 M2C. The S55 takes incredibly well to E85 maps - pair the tune with a flex fuel kit for 600+ whp on stock turbos.

Common S55 questions
How much power can a stock S55 hold?
The S55 has a factory-closed-deck forged-internal motor designed for race use. Stock S55s routinely make 600+ whp with bolt-ons, E85, and a BM3 or MHD tune. 700+ whp builds are common on stock internals with upgraded turbos.
What is the difference between the F87 M2 and F87 M2 Competition?
The standard F87 M2 uses the N55 single-turbo inline-six (370 hp). The F87 M2 Competition uses the S55 twin-turbo inline-six from the M3 / M4 (405 hp). For S55 parts you need the M2 Competition specifically.
