Construction
The core measures 20" x 11" x 7.5" — one of the largest FMICs available for the E-Series — paired with a 20-fins-per-inch ultra-dense fin pack. In ARM's 335xi testing with upgraded turbos, third-gear datalogs showed only a 5°F rise in intake air temps (59°F start, 64°F finish). Smooth end-tank geometry with 3" inlet/outlet ports minimises turbulence, and a cast inlet fin distributes charge air evenly across the stepped core for more effective cooling.
