F3X FMIC KIT - N20/N26/N55

An ARM F3X FMIC upgrade is one of the best mods for your N20-, N26- or N55-powered BMW. The stock intercooler is the platform's weak point: with a Stage 1 or Stage 2+ tune, higher boost means hotter charge air and rising intake air temps, so the DME pulls boost and timing to protect the engine. The ARM F3X FMIC keeps IATs low so you can make the power your engine is capable of.

Construction

A 20" x 11" x 3" core with 660 cu in of volume — 235 cu in (36%) larger than the 425 cu in stock N55 unit — with a 14-fins-per-inch ultra-dense external core. Its 220 sq in face is 120% larger than the OEM 100 sq in face; spreading volume forward and taller (rather than thicker) keeps ambient cooling air more effective. In testing, IATs rose just 2°F at 18 psi versus 33°F at 16 psi on the stock intercooler (94% better cooling). A true direct fit — no cutting, trimming or bumper removal — with CNC connectors for OEM or upgraded piping. An optional F30 FMIC Hose Upgrade (requires the ARM F30 Charge Pipe) cuts connection count by up to 50%.
