335i 5" Intercooler FMIC

An ARM FMIC upgrade is one of the best mods for your 335i — averaging 25 whp and 27 wtq, and doing it consistently. When a tune raises boost it raises heat; when the DME detects too much heat it pulls timing and power to protect the engine. The ARM intercooler keeps intake air temps in the DME's safe zone so your 335i can use all of its mods.

Cooler IATs, 47% bigger than OEM

The 5" stepped core is nearly 47% larger than OEM while retaining all the OEM crash bars and bumper pads — no irreversible cutting. In independent testing the OEM intercooler hit a power-robbing 151°F while the ARM 5" stepped unit held a cool 106°F (45°F cooler). Bar-and-plate construction reduces heat soak and keeps the DME from pulling boost and timing.

Dyno proven

Tested on an N54 135i with ARM 3" catless downpipes, ARM N54 charge pipe with TiAL BOV, ARM dual-cone intake, the ARM 5" stepped FMIC and a JB4 managing the tune: 408.8 whp and 480.4 wtq. CAD-designed CNC aluminum connectors let you run OEM hoses (faster install) or the ARM 3" FMIC Hose Upgrade.
