The ARM 4.0T Catted Downpipes free your twin-turbo V8 from the two coffee-can catalysts Audi bolts onto the factory 4.0T — the single biggest restriction between your turbos and the road. Swap them in and you can pick up as much as 37whp and 42wtq, with faster turbo spool and a deeper, more present exhaust note.
Where the power comes from
The OEM downpipes don't just choke flow with their dense converters — they're also routed to cross over each other, with the driver-side turbo feeding the passenger-side midpipe and vice versa. That forces exhaust gas down a longer path full of sharp kinks. The ARM 4.0T Catted Downpipes begin and end on the same side, shortening and smoothing the path for quicker spool, more low-end torque, and sharper throttle response.
Built to outlast the car
Each pipe is built from SS304 stainless steel for weld integrity and strength that lasts the life of your 4.0T — you should never need another set. A 200-cell catalyst keeps things far cleaner than a catless setup; pair the downpipes with a CEL delete to avoid a check engine light. Starting at the turbos, they use one solid 4.4" x 3" collector welded to an OEM-style 5-bolt flange that bolts up to any 4.0T turbo upgrade. A stainless flex section relieves stress from the turbos under hard acceleration, cornering, and braking, and the OEM transmission mounting brackets are retained to lock everything in place. The downpipes finish with a 2.25" 3-bolt flange that matches the OEM midpipes or the ARM 4.0T Midpipes.
Take the sound further
These downpipes already transform how your 4.0T sounds. If you want more, the ARM 4.0T Midpipes delete the OEM dual resonators Audi uses to muffle the V8 — and since they add only about 10 minutes to the install when done alongside the downpipes, it's the ideal time to fit both.
