CTS Turbo S55 F80/F82/F83/F87 BMW M3/M4/M2 Air-to-Water Intercooler Upgrade

The factory S55 intercooler is plastic, prone to cracking and built around an inefficient tube-and-fin core — not designed for boost beyond stock. CTS Turbo built a better one. This premium air-to-water intercooler is a direct replacement for the BMW F80/F82/F83/F87 (with S55 engine), engineered from a factory part measured on an in-house CMM and 3D-scanned, then optimized in CAD.

Proprietary cast end tanks use flow-directing fins on the inlet and outlet to keep airflow streamlined for maximum efficiency, wrapped around a high-density bar-and-plate core (dual pass) with a CTS-logo top plate. CNC-machined fittings, stainless steel helicoils in the mounting location, high-quality hardware and silicone couplers come standard. The assembly is hand-welded in house, pressure tested and finished in a semi-gloss black powder coat. Lower AITs mean less chance of detonation and timing pull.
