CTS Turbo IS12/IS20/IS38 Heat Blanket
The CTS Turbo Blanket wraps the heat produced by your IHI IS12/IS20/IS38 turbocharger, keeping it on the hot side and away from the cool side and intake path. The payoff: reduced turbo lag, cooler intake air temps, longer-lasting engine components, and a boost in horsepower. By containing the exhaust heat, more oxygen per unit volume reaches the engine — and more oxygen means more power.
This blanket fits all IHI turbos found on MQB platform cars:
- IS12 turbos on MK7 1.8TSI Golf and 8V Audi A3 FWD
- IS20 turbos on MK7 GTI and 8V Audi A3 Quattro
- IS38 turbos on the MK7 Golf R and 8V Audi S3
Heat tolerance
- Interior surface max temperature rating: 2100°F
- Interior surface continuous use limit: 1800°F
- Exterior surface direct contact limit: 800°F
- Exterior surface radiant heat limit: 1200°F
