EA888 Gen3 Turbocharger Upgrade Kit for NON MQB Vehicles

CTS Turbo's long-awaited BOSS kit for EA888 Gen3 vehicles is a complete bolt-on big-turbo solution for Gen3 NON-MQB (CPLA/CPPA) engines. The hard part of the development was making a big-turbo upgrade that works seamlessly with your existing aftermarket mods — no custom parts like an IS38 swap demands — solved with the latest 3D rapid-prototyping technology and validated in CTS's own 2017 VW GLI.

How it installs

Remove the factory turbocharger, transfer the factory wastegate actuator and re-install with the supplied hardware, then update tuning to Unitronic Stage 3. This 67mm turbo balances spool-up against 400+ hp capability, and its dual-ball-bearing CHRA is made from heat-resistant ceramic, finished on a VSR high-speed balancer. The result is a reliable 400hp on the stock fueling system running 93 octane straight from the pump.

CTS-TR-2000 requires specific software tuning, now available from Unitronic Chipped for 2.0T Gen3 Volkswagen GLI (manual or DSG) only. ECU software is subject to availability and only offered for SIMOS 18 models; Stage 2 TCU software is required on DSG cars.
