It pulls the factory hydro-formed resonated section and replaces it with 70mm T304 stainless tubing for freer flow and a fuller, more assertive tone that suits the engine. In place of the stock resonator, CTS Turbo fits a mandrel-bent X-pipe — a true crafted X rather than the common stamped design — so flow is evened out to both banks of tips. That balanced flow kills the sound irregularities you get from the stock system and leaves you with a refined, aggressive note.
